The panel

What ingredients are in Memodyne?

Seven lines, each with its own milligram amount. Four of them are forms of just two amino acids.

The panel names niacin, calcium, a pair of L-arginine lines, a pair of L-citrulline lines and beta-alanine. Nothing hides behind a blend name.

Full profiles: L-arginine, L-citrulline and beta-alanine.

Amounts

How much of each Memodyne ingredient is in one capsule?

Milligrams on the bottle, grams in the studies.

All seven Memodyne label lines with printed amounts, beside the doses used in research.

Reading the gap

Arginine studies started at 2 grams a day; the two lines here total 400 mg (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements). Citrulline totals 200 mg, roughly one-fifteenth of the smallest citrulline dose tested. Beta-alanine, at 40 mg, sits near one-fortieth of its lowest studied amount.

Label vs web

Why do some Memodyne review pages list different ingredients?

They describe a label that is not on the bottle.

Some review sites print a list of familiar memory herbs. The panel carries none of them.

Double lines

Why does Memodyne print arginine and citrulline twice?

The bottle gives no reason, so we offer none. We can explain the names.

Arginine

Base and AKG 2:1

"Base" means plain L-arginine. AKG is arginine paired with alpha-ketoglutarate, a compound your body also makes. "2:1" is the ratio of that pairing.

Citrulline

HCl and malate

HCl is a hydrochloride salt. Malate is citrulline joined to malic acid, the form one weightlifting trial gave at 8 g (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements).

The partner molecules add weight. So 400 mg of arginine ingredients holds somewhat less arginine itself, and the citrulline pair works the same way. With no split printed, an exact figure is impossible.

Research focus

What are Memodyne's amino acids usually studied for?

Exercise, circulation and the heart. Memory is absent from our health sources.

Brand artwork used for mood. It shows no effect of Memodyne on nerve cells.
Arginine

Heart and vessels

Mayo Clinic reviews it for angina, high blood pressure and leg artery disease, with no memory use (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).

Citrulline

Workouts

Gram-dose sports trials were mixed, and the NIH finds the support weak (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements).

Beta-alanine

Intense bursts

Tested at grams daily for hard exercise, with uneven findings (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements).

Arginine feeds the body's nitric oxide supply, which relaxes blood vessels. Yet athletes taking grams of it usually showed no change in nitric oxide or circulation (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements). No trial of Memodyne has checked brain blood flow. See the idea behind the formula.

Vitamin and mineral

What do the niacin and calcium lines add?

Niacin covers close to half a day's need. Calcium is a token amount.

Niacin, 7.5 mg NE

Niacin is vitamin B3, and 7.5 mg NE (niacin equivalents) equals 47% of the Daily Value (NIH ODS, Niacin). Severe shortage can cause memory loss, and extra niacin helps memory only then. The label skips the form. See the niacin profile.

Calcium, 18 mg

Calcium appears as calcium carbonate, 18 mg, or 1.5% of the Daily Value per the label. That will not move your daily total, which is why it has no profile of its own.

Shell and fillers

What else is in a Memodyne capsule?

A shell and two flow aids.

  • Hypromellose: a cellulose shell made from plants, used in place of gelatin.
  • Vegetable stearate: a plant fat that keeps powder from sticking to machines.
  • Silicon dioxide: a fine mineral powder that prevents clumping.

No plant source is given for the stearate. With food allergies, show the panel to your pharmacist before ordering.

Safety

Which Memodyne ingredient needs the most care?

L-arginine, because it acts on blood vessels.

Arginine carries the real drug interactions. Mayo Clinic says to skip it if you recently had a heart attack. Combined with pressure tablets, nitrate heart drugs or sildenafil, it may send blood pressure too low (Mayo Clinic, L-arginine).

Bring the bottle to a pharmacist

Do this if you use a blood thinner, diabetes medicine, a potassium-sparing water pill or any heart drug. Keep taking your prescribed medicine.

Beta-alanine tingle begins near 800 mg in one dose, twenty times this amount (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements). Count niacin from your multivitamin too. Details per line: side effects guide.

FAQ

Memodyne ingredients FAQ

Why does a memory formula use nitric oxide amino acids?

The seller connects arginine and citrulline to brain blood flow, since the body builds nitric oxide from them. Gram-dose exercise studies mostly found no nitric oxide rise (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements), and nobody has tested Memodyne for memory.

How much real arginine is in a Memodyne capsule?

Somewhat under 400 mg. Plain arginine supplies 200 mg, while the AKG line shares its weight with alpha-ketoglutarate. The panel prints no split, so an exact total cannot be given.

How much beta-alanine does Memodyne have?

40 mg per capsule, the last line on the panel. Researchers used 1.6 to 6.4 grams a day for exercise (NIH ODS, Exercise supplements), so this is tiny, and far below the dose tied to skin tingling.

Does Memodyne use a proprietary blend?

No. Every line carries its own milligram figure, so you or your pharmacist can compare each one with research and with the other products you take.

Is the Memodyne formula identical to MemoHoney?

MemoHoney's label lists the same seven amounts. They are sold under different names through similar sales pages. We sell Memodyne only, so read the panel on whichever bottle you hold.

Is there any research on the Memodyne formula?

We found no published study of this exact blend of lines. Research covers single ingredients, mostly for exercise or the heart, at much larger doses. Memantine trials that show up in searches concern a prescription drug, not this capsule.
